TAHLEQUAH, Okla. (AP) _ A Tahlequah man has been arrested in the beating death of another man.
Mark Aaron Vance was taken into custody on Monday for his alleged role in the July 18th death of 27-year-old Anthony Dion Scott. Vance has not been formally charged yet.
Scott's body was found near a storage building in Tahlequah. Reports show he died from blunt trauma to the head and strangulation.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation report says a witness told investigators that Vance used Scott's cellular telephone after the two fought.
Another witness says Vance had allegedly given Scott a ride and that Scott became verbally abusive.
Vance has been previously charged with misdemeanor drug and traffic counts out of Cherokee County.
