Oklahoma City firefighters rescue man from flames, family jumps to escape

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Oklahoma City firefighters rescued one man and witnesses say a family jumped from a window to escape flames at an apartment complex.

Fire Major Brian Stanaland says the three-alarm fire began about 3 AM Thursday at the southwest Oklahoma City complex.

Stanaland says no injuries are reported and arson investigators are trying to determine the cause of the fire.

He says eight apartments were destroyed, eight others damaged and 13 families left homeless by the fire.
