Girl thrown from car on Indian Nation Turnpike dies

McALESTER, Okla. (AP) _ A 13-year-old Broken bow girl has died after being thrown from a car when it crashed on the Indian Nation Turnpike.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Andrea Sanchez died Thursday night at a Tulsa hospital of injuries she suffered in the Wednesday afternoon accident.

Troopers say Sanchez was a passenger in a sport utility vehicle that ran off the turnpike about 20 miles south of McAlester and rolled four-and-a-half times.

Driver Isidoro Sanchez told troopers he fell asleep at the wheel.
