McAlester women gets probation for forgery

MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) -- A federal judge has sentenced a former McAlester nursing home administrator to 36 months probation after she pleaded guilty to a forgery count.

US District Judge Ronald A-White also ordered 36-year-old Kimberly Kay Horan to pay $14,305 in restitution during her formal sentencing.

Horan pleaded guilty to one count of using a forged check from the US Treasury.

An investigation by the Social Security Administration's Office of the Inspector General found that Horan forged checks that were intended for and made out to a patient at the Sunbridge Park Nursing Home.

Horan was restricted from working at a nursing home or in the field of senior citizen care.
