Wagoner man faces years in prison for leading police on a high-speed chase

WAGONER, Okla. (AP) _ A Wagoner man is facing up to 54 years in prison after being found guilty of several felony charges in connection with a high-speed police chase in December.

A Wagoner County jury recommended the sentence for Jerry Charles Creek, Junior.

Creek was arrested in December after he led deputies on a 45-minute chase and ran over the front of a deputy's patrol car.

Creek was found guilty of attempting to allude, assault with a dangerous weapon, running a roadblock and possession of a stolen vehicle. He was also found guilty of 15 counts of running a stop sign.

The jury further recommended Creek pay 62-hundred dollars in fines.
