Tulsa Union teacher and his wife arrested for growing marijuana

Updated:
A Tulsa Union School teacher and his wife face felony charges. This after their arrest at their home for a marijuana growing operation.

53-year old Keith Eidson, a teacher with Tulsa's Union Public Schools, and his 47-year old wife, Kim were arrested over the weekend.

Investigators with the Wagoner County Sheriff’s office say they were cultivating nearly 50 plants in a backyard garden. About $20,000 worth of marijuana was destroyed.

Keith Eidson has been an educator at Union for 20 years. Residents say they're shocked. They say the couple has been active in the church, and supported Wagoner school sports.

The Eidsons are free on $5,000 bond each. Keith Eidson has been suspended by Union Schools with pay, pending an investigation.
