Folks who get hay fever, get ready for a big season. In fact, the sneezing and watery itchy eyes may have already started for some people.
Dr Jane Purser of the Allergy Clinic of Tulsa says this sensational summer we've had is both a blessing and a curse for those with allergies. “The weather has been a fluke this summer, it's been lovely, encouraging, people have been outside more than ever, but it hasn't killed off any of the weeds so we have this beautiful, bountiful crop of ragweed outside."
Purser says pollen counts so far are three times higher than in the past couple of years.
So people should begin taking preventive measures like showering before bed, and changing outdoor clothes outside the bedroom to keep it pollen free.
