OU's Peterson returns to practice, held out of contact

Updated:
NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ Oklahoma freshman running back Adrian Peterson is back in practice, but being kept away from contact.

Peterson suffered a dislocated shoulder during an August 15th scrimmage and is being held out of full-contact.

Offensive coordinator Chuck Long says even though Peterson isn't getting hit, he's learning the offense.

Head coach Bob Stoops says Peterson will probably go through some contact before the season-opener.
