Oklahoma City lawyer submits bill for case involving Creek County judge

Updated:
An Oklahoma City lawyer is asking for more than $50,000 in legal fees for his work in a case involving a former Creek County Judge.

Former US Attorney Pat Ryan was appointed by the state Court on the Judiciary to prosecute former Judge Donald Thompson. The state attorney general wanted Thompson to be removed from the bench for allegedly engaging in inappropriate sexual conduct during trials.

Thompson says the allegations were false, but he retired before his trial.

Attorney Pat Ryan says he reduced his customary hourly rate from $350 an hour to $175 an hour because of the public service nature of the work.
