Officers across the Sooner state are showing their support for one organization by hanging out at a local doughnut shops.
Law enforcement from Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Bixby, Tulsa County Sheriff's office, and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol are all helping to raise money for the Special Olympics. They'll be up on the rooftop of the Krispy Kreme Doughnut Shop on 71st Street until Sunday.
Their goal, raise as much money as they can for Special Olympics athletes in Oklahoma. Derek Cain with Special Olympics: "We're hoping to raise $40,000, put on about 100 events here in Oklahoma."
Besides helping out a good cause, there are plenty of other incentives to get out there and donate, such as, free doughnuts, coffee and t-shirts.
