EDMOND, Okla. (AP) _ Police in Edmond say the latest FBI Uniform Crime Report shows Edmond had the fewest violent crimes in 2006 of any Oklahoma city with a population above 19,000.

The report shows Edmond had 1.2 violent crimes for every 1,000 residents. The city had one murder, 14 robberies, 30 rapes and 46 aggravated assaults.

Broken Arrow is second and Norman third with each city recording just over 2 violent crimes per 1,000 residents.

Oklahoma City had just over 8 violent crimes per 1,000 residents while Lawton had just over 10.2 and Tulsa almost 12.5.

The FBI report shows Lawton had 929 total violent crimes, Oklahoma City 4,301 and Tulsa 4,816.
