Man Armed With Shotgun Robs Econo Lodge

Updated:
Police are searching for a man who reportedly robbed the Econo Lodge near 31st and Memorial just before 2 a.m. Friday. The suspect, armed with an all black shotgun, entered the motel office and demanded money from the female clerk. Police say that this is the second time in two months that the same woman has been robbed.

The man reportedly fled the scene on foot heading south through the parking lot, throwing the money bag down as he ran. Tulsa police believe the man then escaped into a car that also headed south. The suspect is described as a thin, 6'-3" black male in his early 20s.

Hotel video shows the suspect during the robbery as well as entering and leaving the building.

No one was injured in the robbery.

Anyone with information about the armed robbery is asked to call Crimestoppers at 596-COPS.
