Tulsa Police are investigating the death of a 4-month old baby late Wednesday evening. Police officers say the child's mother returned home from work to discover her baby girl dead. The child had been in her father's care at the Normandy Apartments near 38th and Sheridan.

The baby's mother told police her daughter and the baby's father were sleeping together when she got home. The mother noticed the child was not breathing and took the infant to a neighbor's home. They tried to give the baby CPR and called 911, but it was too late.

Tulsa Police officers say there were no obvious signs of trauma.

The Tulsa Police â€œChild Crisis Unitâ€ is investigating the incident.
