Stoops Says Mceachern May Give Up Football

SAN ANTONIO (AP) _ In addition to finding a new quarterback Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops may be looking for a new holder on extra points and field goal tries.

Backup quarterback Hays McEachern was the holder as a sophomore last year but Stoops says McEachern is planning to give up football to concentrate on school work.

Stoops says he's hoping McEachern will change his mind but it doesn't appear likely.
