The cost of higher education is going up, so parents who want to send there kids to college need to start saving now.

State Treasure Scott Meacham stopped by to talk about the Oklahoma College Savings Plan on Six in the Morning, Tuesday. Meacham says for as little as $25 a month parents can pay for college, tax free.

“Oklahoma created the Oklahoma College Saving Plan
to give parents an incentive to save,” said State Treasure Scott Meacham. “We give large tax deductions up to $20,000 per family for contributions to these plans and it grows free of any federal and state income tax.”
