OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is warning Oklahomans not to allow their driver's licenses to expire.

Because of the new anti-illegal immigration law, Oklahoma residents have to show a Public Safety Department examiner either a valid passport, a certified birth certificate or a visa when they try to renew a driver's license that has expired.

The result has been a lengthening of the process.
