Arkansas St. Having “Blackout” For Last Home Game Thursday

JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) Arkansas State is asking fans to wear black to Thursday's home football game with North Texas.

ASU assistant athletic director Gleen Hart says the school's ``Black-Out'' promotion is designed as a show of unity and of support for the team.

The game will be the last one at home for ASU seniors and the last home game in which the team will be called ``Indians.'' The school is in the process of choosing a new nickname and mascot to conform to NCAA guidelines.

Kickoff at Indian Stadium is 6 p.m.
