Research Into Possible Alzheimer's Vaccine

Oklahoma scientists are working on a vaccine to help Alzheimer's patients hold on to their memory.

A new study from the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation shows that immunization could slow down or even stop the development of the disease. Researchers tested the vaccine known as Memapsin Two on lab mice.

They say mice who received treatments showed better cognitive performance than mice that did not. Scientists hope to test the vaccine on people in the near future.
