GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) - Coach Mike McCarthy served up a heaping helping of humble pie to his players.

McCarthy is in no mood to celebrate the Packers' 8-and-1 record. He let his players know their performance was far from perfect in last Sunday's rout of Minnesota.

He made it clear he wasn't entirely pleased with yesterday's practice: that there's some things they need to clean up.

Defensive tackle Ryan Pickett says that's how McCarthy is: straight to business. Pickett says it's what keeps the players grounded and makes them better.

McCarthy has gone out of his way to make sure his players handle success the right way, which he says is one of the biggest challenges in football.
