Police were called to a residence in the 4000 block of East 22nd Place Thursday morning after someone called 911 and said someone had shot and killed a man.
Tulsa Police are looking for Travis Wilson as a person of interest.
Police say Travis Wilson fled the crime scene at Pittsburg and 22nd Place on foot.
One man is dead and another is on the run after an early Thursday shooting. Police in Tulsa say it happened just before eight inside a midtown Tulsa home. News On 6 anchor Latoya Silmon reports family members say the victim is a father of four.
"He was a good person. He was the limelight of life," said Keith Barnes, uncle of Antonio Nears.
But, Antonio Nears' life was cut short Thursday morning. Police found him shot to death inside the midtown home he shared with his wife near 22nd Place and Pittsburg. Now, they want to talk to 20-year-old Travis Wilson.
"What we know at this time is that he left on foot. We don't know if he has a vehicle or not," said Tulsa Police Officer Leland Ashley.
The families of Wilson and Nears rushed to the scene looking for answers. Antonio's mom was too distraught to talk. The loss is hitting his uncle hard, too.
"I can't believe he gone. I just seen him Tuesday. Didn't know it was going to be the last time I seen him," said Nears' uncle, Keith Barnes.
He says Nears had a lot to live for. He says the 29 year old was a father of four and was just getting use to the idea of twins.
"He just had twins. He was excited about that and right now that was his main priority was his twins," said Nears' uncle, Keith Barnes.
Keith Barnes says the Nears' children were inside the home when the shooting occurred. And, he hopes police will find the person who robbed them of their father.
"He just got to turn himself in and live up to his responsibilities and what he just did," said Nears' uncle, Keith Barnes.
Police say they're still trying to figure out what may have led to the shooting. They say Travis Wilson is a person of interest in the case.
Anyone with information about the case or the whereabouts of Travis Wilson is asked to call Crimestoppers at 596-COPS.
