Overnight Fatal Car Accident Leaves One Dead

Police are investigating a fatal car accident that happened on Saturday morning just three blocks west of Yale near the 4600 block of East 4th Place.

Police say two men driving an SUV were traveling westbound on 4th Place at a high rate of speed, lost control of their vehicle and then slammed into a parked car and into a house.

Both of the men were ejected from the vehicle. One man died, while the second person was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition.

There's no word yet on who was driving the vehicle.
