Ice Storm Cleanup Costs Adding Up For Tulsa

The City of Tulsa is spending at least $20 million to recover from the December 2007 ice storm.

The City of Tulsa is spending millions of dollars to recover from the December 2007 ice storm.  The current estimate of the debris cleanup cost is $20 million.

That estimate includes the cost of monitoring the cleanup and grinding up the limbs. FEMA will reimburse the city with federal taxes for 87% of the cost. The city and state will split the rest.
