Philbrook To Receive Art Collection

The Philbrook Museum of Art is busy receiving a new multi-million dollar art collection.  Philbrook and the Fred Jones Junior Museum at the University of Oklahoma are recipients of the Eugene B. Adkins Collection.  It features more than 3,000 pieces.

The collection is valued at $50 million and is considered one of the finest collections of Native American and Southwestern art ever assembled by a private collector.

Philbrook will open a show featuring highlights of the Adkins collection on March 9th.

It will eventually be housed in a new art center in the Brady District.
