Sand Springs Sued Over Quarry

A fight over a proposed Sand Springs quarry is heading to court. Sand Springs Materials is suing to open a limestone quarry between some Sand Springs neighborhoods. The city denied a permit for the quarry, saying it would hurt property values, community welfare, and public facilities.

The company argued the city lacked, "any reasonable basis" to deny the permit. Sand Springs will file a response in the next few weeks.
