Highway Patrol Honors Owasso Man

Dave Sanderson was on Interstate 59 near Tuscaloosa, Alabama last November 3rd.  That's when he says he saw a drunk driver slam into an AHP trooper's vehicle.

An Owasso man was honored with an award by the Oklahoma and Alabama Highway Patrol's on Wednesday. Dave Sanderson was on Interstate 59 near Tuscaloosa, Alabama last November 3rd. That's when he says he saw a drunk driver slam into an AHP trooper's vehicle.

Sanderson was amazingly able to get the car off of the officer and stay with him until paramedics arrived. He also gave an eye-witness account of the crime.

The drunk driver was eventually arrested.

The Alabama Highway Patrolman injured, is expected to return to work this summer.
