Tulsa homicide detectives are trying to solve a mysterious murder.  The sad part is the victim didn't have to die.  The people in his apartment didn't call 911 for more than an hour and the man bled to death after being shot.

News On 6 crime reporter Lori Fullbright reports police say 22-year-old Ociel Sanchez was outside his apartment near 33rd and Mingo about 11 a.m. on February 24th when the shooting happened.

"Got into a confrontation, don't know if it was a robbery, we think it was a robbery, an attempted robbery. Mr. Sanchez is shot and stumbles back into his apartment," said TPD Officer Leland Ashley.

The Hispanic residents inside were either reluctant to call 911 or didn't know how and by the time police were called, Sanchez had bled to death.

Police are looking for a black man in his early 20's, six feet tall and skinny.

"One thing that stands out about the individual is he has acne scars or bad blemishes on his face," said Officer Ashley.

Police hope someone knows who the man is and will turn him in before another victim dies needlessly.

Anyone with information should call Crimestoppers at 596-COPS.  No one will know who you are and if your tip leads to an arrest, the Citizens Crime Commission will pay you a cash reward through a secret numbered system.
