Matt Patterson knows there's more to storm chasing than just seeing the threat of severe weather and tracking its course. Patterson has a deep care for the people severe weather affects.

"Every time I see something I ask, what could we have done to give people better warning?" said Patterson.

Patterson is proud of the WARN Team's efforts in February 2008 in Clinton, Arkansas.

The tornado damage was rated at EF-4. The team helped pull people out of rubble and provide relief during a very difficult time.

Patterson has been storm chasing since 2004. He has seen how great storms have affected Green Country families and works to improve his spotting techniques with each bout of severe weather.

"There's nothing we can do about the storm, but if we can provide as much warning as possible, people can take cover," Patterson said.
