Accident Sends Two To Hospital

A head-on collision sends two people to a Tulsa hospital overnight on Friday.

The traffic accident happened before midnight at Interstate 44 between Peoria and Lewis. Tulsa Police say a driver was going the wrong way and collided with another vehicle trying to get to an off ramp.

Two women were taken to the hospital and police say they are expected to recover.

One car had out of state tags on it.

Tulsa Police believe the woman going the wrong way, may have thought the road was a highway on-ramp.

Another traffic accident sent three people to a Tulsa hospital early Friday morning. 

Tulsa Police say for some reason the driver of a westbound car went left of center in the 7000 block of East 41st Street and hit a truck going eastbound. 

Police say the injuries are not considered life threatening.
