Local law enforcement hit the wet pavement Wednesday morning to help the Special Olympics.  It's part of their annual torch run.  Just over a dozen runners showed up, despite the threatening weather.

"We're not having the runners carry the torch today we thought it might be too dangerous with the lighting out here, but we are determined to get it to Stillwater," said Tulsa Police Sgt. Whitney Allen.

The torch had to eventually be driven to Sand Springs for the pass-off. The event kicks off the Special Olympics in Stillwater.
