Voters across northeastern Oklahoma head to the polls Tuesday to help decide some important issues.

Looking at several of the elections.  Tulsa County voters will decide on a seven year $76 million bond issue for construction projects at its four Tulsa Community College campuses and in Owasso.

If approved, Tulsa County's property tax would rise from 7 mils to 8.7 mils.

There is also a second proposition to increase property taxes to help pay operational costs of the new TCC facilities and expansion of academic programs.

Bartlesville voters have 3 items on the ballot including a half cent capital improvements sales tax extension. There are also 2 bond issues to help fund street improvements and improvements to Bartlesville's Frontier Park.

And in Muskogee, 19-year-old John Hammons takes on 70-year-old Hershel McBride in the race for Muskogee mayor.

Hammons is a student at OU, while McBride has served 3 terms as mayor.

The polls are open until 7 p.m.
