500th QuikTrip Store Opens

One of Oklahoma's most successful companies hit another milestone with a Thursday morning grand opening.  

QuikTrip opened its 500th store at the corner of 71st and Elm in Broken Arrow. 

The first QuikTrip opened in 1958 in Tulsa and the Tulsa-based company has seen great success over the last 50 years. 

The QuikTrip chain hopes to continue opening 40 new stores every year. 

Plans for opening a new store where the Camelot Hotel in Tulsa used to stand are in the works, but are on hold until construction on the I-44 corridor is complete.
