John 3:16 Mission held their annual block party for the homeless community in Tulsa on Saturday. It's called the "Hosanna Block Party", where organizers invite everyone to come and get some food, play games and listen to live bands near Edison and Easton Street.

They even have stylists come out to give makeovers for the ladies.

Organizers say the party gives the homeless community a chance to feel loved and appreciated, which in turn helps get them back on their feet.

"And it makes a big difference we had, last year, just by doing the nails and hair. Several ladies were able to get jobs the next week because their appearance was improved greatly," said Gene Mansfield of the John 3:16 Mission.

Organizers say the homeless aren't able to enjoy the pleasures of Mayfest, so the block party is a day to have fun.
