The worst race riot in U.S. history happened in Tulsa 87 years ago. Greenwood was once considered the Black Wall Street, but on June 1st, 1921 it was destroyed. Witnesses say a mob descended on North Tulsa.

During 16 hours of rioting, 39 people were killed, more than 800 people were injured and 10,000 were left homeless.

A lawsuit has been filed against the City of Tulsa for reparations for the victims.

A Harvard professor is the lead attorney on the case. He vows to fight until his last breath.

Meanwhile, Tulsans honored the dead with several tributes this weekend and on Sunday the public got to see a documentary about some of the survivors.
