When the storm first made its way into Green Country, one of its first targets was Mannford. It came in the way of hail and high winds. The News On 6's Dan Bewley reports the hail ranged in size from a golf ball to a baseball.

It was quite a barrage, tearing through windows, even punching holes in the sides of homes.

There was a bulls-eye nearly everywhere; the back window of one of Mannford's finest was gone. The officer escaped unharmed.

"I went in my house and it sounded like somebody was dropping bricks on my roof," said Glen Miller.

The paint was peeled from the top of Miller's pickup.

Steve Krotzer's granddaughter's car also felt the brunt of the storm, leaving shards of glass all over the back seat

It wasn't just glass or car windows that sustained damage, several homes around town had holes punched in their siding as well.

The storm did a number on Ray Vardell's home, blasting six windows and countless holes in the siding.

"Real intense for a while, just hoping it would end," said Vardell.

He even made sure to keep a few souvenirs of the tennis ball sized hail.

"Just saved it to show people, I ain't never seen anything like this," said Vardell.

No way to explain it, they say, just 10 minutes of misery with a fury like they have never witnessed.

"Just big ol' hail bombs hitting the ground, just bouncing and exploding," said Vardell.

Mannford police say they don't have any reports of injuries. As for the total number of cars or homes that were damaged, they say it's just too early to tell.
