It was the second anniversary at the Linnaeus Teaching Garden at Woodward Park. On Saturday, people came out to look at the rare garden and hard-to-find shrubs.

The teaching garden also had guest speakers with free lectures on different plants of the world, including those that work best here in Tulsa.

"Obviously it gets very hot here during the summer time, so one of the new plants is the black pearl put out by the Pan American Seed Company they donated 1,000 that we're going to sell to help raise funds to keep the garden going," said Joe Ward of Southwood Landscape.

Event organizers believe about three to four thousand people went to the garden. The first 500 people received free shrubs
