A Tulsa couple has made the search for a trustworthy babysitter as easy as clicking a mouse.  News On 6 anchor Jennifer Loren reports they're helping parents keep kids safe.

You could call it a modern-day Babysitters' Club.  Now, their concept and their services are going nation-wide.

Hayden Carr starts school in the fall, but until then she's filling her time and her wallet babysitting for Seeking Sitters.

"You can pretty much work as much as you want or as little as you want. It's really good on flexibility and you make good money," said Hayden Carr.

But, before Seeking Sitters hired Carr, she had to answer to a private investigator for a background check and that gives clients a lot of comfort.

"You need to know that that person's had a background check because it's a stranger coming into your home," said one mother.

But, mom also had to have a background check and that makes Hayden comfortable.

"It makes you feel very safe going into other people's homes," said Hayden Carr.

David and Adrienne Kallweit are the masterminds behind Seeking Sitters.  The business started when they started their family and Adrienne was running a private investigation agency.

"And we started screening sitters for our own family and found that there was a need in Tulsa... and really saw the need when we went out of town in travels to families that live in other states," said Adrienne Kallweit.

And, their business is now in other states.  They have16 franchises in seven states, so far.

"They're all mom-owned businesses. They all have kids of their own. So they're in the same, they're in the same dilemma as we were, where they're struggling to find a babysitter, and that dilemma is out there everywhere. So they're filling a need in their area as well," said Adrienne Kallweit.

Another reason they say Seeking Sitters is so successful is because sitters and families can do basically everything online.

"They sign up online, make a request, they can even see the sitter online, set preferences, see their profile.  They can even read feedback from other families," said Adrienne Kallweit.

And, the Kallweits hope other families in all 50 states will seek out Seeking Sitters in the next five years.

Seeking Sitters is always seeking new sitters.  In the meantime they're garnering national attention and racking up awards .

They won the 2007 Tulsa Entrepreneurial Spirit Award and made Working Mother Magazine's Top 25 Women-owned Businesses.
