A Tulsa bouncer accused in a downtown beating death is in trouble with the law again. Jason Nicholson was found not guilty last year in the death of Scott Bolton. Now he's facing a new assault charge.

The News On 6's Ashli Sims reports the situation is hauntingly familiar for Bolton's family and friends. Those who knew Scott Bolton are outraged. They can't believe this boxer turned bouncer is once again accused of hurting someone else.

"I just get chills," said Bolton's girlfriend, Teresa Desirey.

When Desirey heard Jason Nicholson was arrested again, she couldn't help but think of her former boyfriend, Scott Bolton.

"The longer it's been the more accepting you become of it. But when I found out the other day, I was just at a loss. It's just reliving it all again," said Desirey.

Reliving the September night four years ago when Bolton walked into a downtown garage, and never came out. The 23-year-old was punched, hit his head on the pavement and died five days later.

A surveillance video shows bouncers Clay Spicer and Jason Nicholson were there; both blamed the other for the fatal blow. Nicholson was tried for manslaughter.

A jury deliberated for 11 hours before returning a not guilty verdict.

"Man thanks to everybody for supporting me, and everybody who had my back, I appreciate it," said Nicholson in 2007.

A year later, Nicholson now faces a new assault charge.

A police report says a man was waiting for his girlfriend outside of West Tulsa's Outlaws Roadhouse on May 10th.

Investigators say Nicholson, who works as a bouncer at the club next door, started yelling at the man. The report says the man got in his car to leave, when Nicholson punched him twice.

"The whole situation, absolutely. The whole situation is a recount of what happened before," said Desirey.

This new incident has Desirey questioning whether 12 people made a mistake about what happened four years ago.

"It's ridiculous it makes you wonder about the jury, honestly," said Desirey.

A News On 6 crew went by Jason Nicholson's attorney's office, but he wasn't there.

They did talk to district attorney Tim Harris. He says he wasn't surprised to see Nicholson's name cross his desk again, but he says like everyone, he is innocent until proven guilty.
