Panhandle Feeling Effects Of Drought

While Tulsa's on the verge of setting rainfall records, parts of the Oklahoma panhandle have had a little more than an inch all year. Governor Henry is asking for millions from the federal government to help farmers who are barely hanging on.

"On the other hand there's some people that sold everything they own. Every cow that they own. They're just ah, out of feed. It's not feasible to feed through a drought, not cost effective," said farmer Cole Twobly. "Nothing grows. In agriculture something has to grow."

Farmers say they realize agriculture is a gamble, but they weren't betting on a year this bad.
