Picnic Held For Guardsmen

It was a day of family fun for the members of the National Guard's 800th Replacement Company. The reserve unit is based in Sand Springs.

Family and friends held a cookout and played games to get to know the supporting cast behind the guardsmen.  The 800th also presented a check to Oklahoma chapter one of the Blue Star Mothers, to help with postage for Freedom Boxes.

In five years, that chapter alone has sent more than 20,000 boxes overseas.
