Tulsa's newest state of the art library is inside one of Tulsa County's largest parks. The 10,000 square foot Herman and Kate Kaiser Library is inside LaFortune Park, near 51st and Yale.
The library was paid for by private donors.
Besides having enough space for 60,000 books, the library is decorated with stylized trees and a sculpture garden featuring characters from children's books.
"From the time you're just a toddler, until you're a senior citizen like me, you can find things you're interested in at the library," said branch manager Glenda Kilmer.
The new library is in the same building as the LaFortune Park Community Center, which was paid for with Vision 2025 tax dollars.
