Scooter Accident Leaves Teen Injured

Officers say the boy on the scooter ignored a stop sign and plowed into the side of the SUV.

A teenager was taken to a local hospital in critical condition on Wednesday night after his scooter pulled out into oncoming traffic near Santa Fe and Easton in Tulsa. Officers say the boy on the scooter ignored a stop sign and plowed into the side of the SUV.

"We know that he wasn't wearing a helmet, and right now best estimate is that he suffered some head injuries from the accident," said TPD Sgt. Steve Stoltz.

Police say the boy was unresponsive as he was taken to the hospital.
