Carjacking Suspect Charged With Rape

Prosecutors have filed six felonies against Brandon Brixey. Brixey has been charged with two counts of first-degree rape and single counts of lewd molestation, kidnapping, robbery and eluding a police officer. This comes after the Tulsa Police Department arrested the 25-year-old after they believed he had car-jacked a van and sexually assaulted an eight-year-old girl who was inside.

Brandon Brixey was arrested on June 26 after a high speed chase and intense manhunt. The high-speed chase wound its way from West to South Tulsa. Police say Brixey stole the van from a mother of three at a tanning salon, then sped off with the kids still inside.

They believe he assaulted the eight-year-old before he was spotted two hours later.

TPD says Brixey sped down Memorial at 80 miles an hour, before spike strips took out his tires. He then ran into a nearby apartment complex. A police canine almost caught him, but he eluded police.

Originally charged with violating a protective order, according to a booking sheet, Brixey later admitted to the carjacking and assault.

TPD says because of the randomness and brutality of this crime, Brixey, who calls himself King Brix on his MySpace page, will be asked about other cases.

Broken Arrow police want to know if Brixey had anything to do with the brutal sexual assault of a 5-year-old last September. The girl was snatched from her front yard, assaulted and later found wandering barefoot and bleeding eight miles away.

Police say it is simply too soon to tell whether or not the two assaults are connected.

Brixey was charged earlier this year with obstructing an officer and public intoxication in Rogers County. Two people have filed for protective orders against him. According to court documents, his ex-girlfriend and his own mother were granted them.
