Oklahoma Labor Commissioner Lloyd Fields hosted a meeting of amusement ride owners from across the country on Tuesday.  He's asking them to weigh in on Oklahoma's new stricter rules on ride operators.

"If it saves one life, it's worth the risk of making sure that we do our job and making it safe as safe can be," said Labor Commissioner Fields.

Fields says he doesn't want to shut anyone down.  He just wants to make sure all ride operators know how to keep customers safe.

Oklahoma is the first state in the nation to require ride operators be trained and certified.
