For those who love to rock, Pryor's the place to be.  But, fans at Rocklahoma were treated to a wet and wild show on Thursday.  The News On 6's Jeffrey Smith reports the rain didn't dampen the crowd's enthusiasm, but It did dampen some of the audio equipment.

Rain has definitely been the story of the first day at Rocklahoma. But, the fans don't care about the wild weather. However, for the guys behind the scenes running the audio booths, it's a big deal.

Three chords and a dream.  They say that's what it takes to be a successful rocker onstage, but backstage, It takes a lot of moving-and-shaking.  Especially when it's raining.

"You run as fast as you can and don't get caught walking and don't get caught with nothing in your hand. Either you have a tarp or you got bungees, tarping everything down," said Rocklahoma technician Scott Morgan.

Scott Morgan says if this stuff gets wet, It gets fried.

"It's already happening. It's happening left and right out here. We're losing electronics as fast as we can replace them," said Rocklahoma technician Scott Morgan.

He's lost five overhead stage lights already, all within the first four hours of the four-day event.

"Every time something goes down, you're looking at $3,000 at least," said Rocklahoma technician Scott Morgan.

Fans on Day One didn't mind the rain or the mud.  They came to rock out.

"We played a couple songs, then they just cut us off, cause it started raining bad," said musician Tommi Gunn.

For the band, Hollywood Harlot, it was a short day.  The rain blew out their audio and the band ran for cover.

"We blew all the monitors and then the rain started coming in, started hitting all the amps and stuff, and they had to just shut it down," said Sleaze.

Set it up or tear it down, it all depends on the weather.

"Get on your knees and pray.  That's all you can do.  Get on your knees and pray," said Rocklahoma technician Scott Morgan.

Praying to the rock Gods so Morgan can do his job and can keep Rocklahoma rocking.
