A teenager says he's the victim of police brutality after an early morning raid on a house in North Tulsa. The News On 6's Jeffrey Smith reports police say the suspect in Wednesday's double homicide had been living at the home they raided on Friday, but he was nowhere to be found when the cops showed up.

Now a high school senior and a 28-year-old father of three are both saying the officers acted out-of-line.

"I step out of the room like this, as soon as I step out in the hallway, all I feel is pat-pat. And stuff just hits me. They shot like 10 rounds inside the house at me. "I'm like what'd I do? What'd I do?" said 19-year-old DeAndre Alston.

Alston says the injuries speak for themselves.

Alston lives in a house in the 4400 Block of North Delaware. At 6 a.m., more than two dozen officers in SWAT gear showed up at the North Tulsa home.

"An individual that was responsible for the double homicide was residing at this residence that we just served a search warrant at," said TPD Det. Victor Regalado.

"One of the police officers says you think we beat you up this time, wait till you get out of jail, we're gonna come beat you down," said Alston.

He was detained for questioning for several hours, but he says he doesn't know a thing about Wednesday's murders of two 18-year-olds.

"We know because it's in our neighborhood. And we're the closest to it, and it happened just down the street. That's what we know," said Alston.

Alston says he never raised a hand against the cops, but he says they beat him anyway.

"Kicked me right in the face. Kicked me right in the face," said Alston.

"It was more than what was called for. They could have come up and announced themselves. And ask for people to come out. They instantly begin kicking in windows, throwing concussion grenades and just completely demolishing the place," said neighbor Steve Newman.

Newman lives right across the street. He says he was trying to protect his kids when cops shot at him.

"I come outside and I tell the officers that I have three children in the house, and he shoots at me with a pepper gun, and I duck, and it hits my house. And I tell him "Whoa!" I've got three children in the house. And he shoots at me again," said Newman.

Tulsa Police declined requests for an on-camera interview, but they did tell The News On 6 by phone that Alston was uncooperative with the police. They say he was shot with pepper bullets for both his safety and the officers' safety.

Police also say Alston never filed a claim of brutality while he was being questioned by detectives.

Alston says he was never given the chance.

Police are still looking for an early 1960s pickup, primer red or rust-colored, with a narrow bed.

Anyone with information about the killings is urged to call Crimestoppers at 596-COPS.
