An attempted robbery late Sunday night ends with shots fired and two people hospitalized.

The robbery happened at a portable taco stand at about 21st and Garnett around 11:30 p.m. Sunday.

Tulsa Police officers say a young male approached a group of people and demanded money.  The victims refused.  Police officers say that's when the suspect fired four to five rounds into the crowd.  Two people were taken to a Tulsa hospital by private car with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers say the location at 21st and Garnett is a typical after hours hangout.

"This is a local stand that's usually open every day that services tacos and various items. A lot of people will be out here after they get finished going' to the bars to grab something to eat," said Tulsa Police Corporal R.W. Solomon.

Authorities say the suspect chased another person on foot, but the victim managed to get away.
