Police Investigating Murder-Suicide Near Afton

Ottawa County Sheriff's deputies are investigating what appears to be a murder-suicide just outside of Afton. The sheriff says a family member found the bodies and called 911 Friday night.

Detectives believe 73-year-old William Aldinger shot and killed his wife Mary before turning the gun on himself.

The sheriff says it appears the two were having marital problems.
