Wookiees Invade Convention Center

Ninjas, Ghostbusters and wanna-be Wookiees. It's a cast of characters invading the Tulsa Convention Center.

"Enjoy the sci-fi world, not only the sci-fi, but comics, drawings and stuff like that," said Peter Mayhew, who played Chewbacca in Star Wars.

Peter Mayhew, who played Chewbacca in Star Wars, was center stage at Defcon 7, signing autographs and posing for pictures.

"He kind of fit the character with the height and the long shaggy hair," said Chewbacca fan Aaron Neighbors.

Mayhew, out of costume, was cool and comfortable in an easy chair, a far cry from dressing up as everybody's favorite furry friend.

"It's like wearing winter clothes in the summer time in Florida," said Mayhew.

The event runs through Sunday afternoon.
