Sooners In Top 5 In Pre-Season Poll

The University of Oklahoma was one of six teams that received first-place votes in the pre-season USA Today Coaches Poll. Georgia took the top spot with 22 first-place votes, despite not being picked to win the SEC at the league's media days last month.

Four other Big 12 schools joined the fourth ranked Sooners in pre-season poll. Missouri (7^th), Texas (10^th), Kansas (10^th) and Texas Tech (14^th) were all in the top 15.

The University of Tulsa and Oklahoma State each received one vote.
