Wednesday is the last day of summer vacation for classmates of two girls murdered in Weleetka.
Students in Graham Independent School District will return to school without two of their best friends. The kids will receive rubber bracelets with the letters "BFF" or Best Friends Forever on them to honor 11-year-old Skyla Whitaker and 13-year-old Taylor Paschal-Placker.
Skyla would have been in sixth grade, Taylor who was a straight-A student would have been entering 7th grade. Both were on the cheer team, and in 4H. Skyla also played basketball.
The school isn't far from where the girls were found shot to death two months ago.
No arrests have been made in the case.
Crime scene investigators have been sifting through more than 500 leads that have interviewed 100 people. Authorities believe there were two killers involved because different bullets were used.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation also believes the killers live in the area, because it's so remote.
School officials expect Thursday to be a very calm day. They say getting back into the routine will help the 100 students and dozen teachers at the district achieve some type of normalcy.
Teachers at the school will meet with a psychologist Wednesday to discuss concerns students may have. Counselors will be brought in later if necessary.
